Vice President Joe Biden will help welcome Seth Meyers to the "Late Night" desk, appearing as a guest on the Saturday Night Live alum's first show.
Meyers is taking over NBC's "Late Night" on Feb. 24, as former host Jimmy Fallon takes over "The Tonight Show."
The vice president's Twitter account posted about the news on Wednesday:
Meyers once called Biden "the loosest cannon on the ship" while discussing his work as an anchor on SNL's "Weekend Update." Meyers bid farewell to that gig on Feb. 1, with the help of Melissa McCarthy, Amy Poehler and Meyers' "husband" Stefon, played by Bill Hader.
On Feb. 10, Meyers announced fellow SNL alum Fred Armisen would be the leader of the new "Late Night" band.
